Workshop Supervisor (UAE National)

Job Purpose

Ensure efficiency in operations by performing maintenance and servicing duties as per specific guidelines. These include coordination of various technical activities, ensuring adherence to mechanical procedures and monitoring the final tests of equipment and vehicles after servicing and repair. Ensure adherence to actively participating in the repair, disassembling and assembling of engines and overhauls components 

Job Accountabilities

• Execute the activities of the assigned shift and ensure timely, accurate handover of information from previous shift personnel.
• Review the daily activity schedule, assign tasks to team members, and ensure smooth execution across all operational areas, including fabrication, denting, painting, and welding tasks when required.
• Monitor the logbook and ensure all rectification work is completed as scheduled, including accurate updates of job cards, engine and parts details, equipment information, and task start/finish times.
• Oversee final testing of equipment and vehicles after servicing, ensuring proper functioning of engines, gearboxes, steering, brakes, and instruments, and verifying adherence to all operating and safety procedures.
• Assist technicians in fault diagnosis, repair, overhaul, and installation of new or rebuilt equipment, including work related to fabrication, denting, painting, and welding.
• Coordinate with the foreman and workshop officer upon task completion to ensure timely system updates and closure of job cards, including conducting physical testing of equipment and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and security standards through regular monitoring, checks, and adherence to workshop procedures.

Education & Experience

• Completion of secondary (12 years) technical education followed by recognized technical course mandatory
• 4-5 year's experience in a similar position
