Cargo Team Leader


Purpose

The Cargo Team Leader provides front‑line leadership and operational supervision within cargo handling operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of cargo and mail. The role supports and executes daily cargo operations, drives performance against safety, quality, and service level agreements (SLAs), and leads teams to deliver operational excellence in a high‑volume airport environment.


Accountabilities

  • Plan, update and supervise activities in order to ensure the safe and professional delivery of service for customer airlines in line with the defined SLAs and quality standards
  • Drive employee engagement and a high-performance culture by being a role model that gives emphasis to empowerment, communication, quality, productivity & goal attainment
  • Ensure that all SOPS are adhered to at all times both by yourself and your team members allowing for a safe and secure operation
  • Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels including team briefings and completion of relevant reports
  • Ensure that all documentation pertaining to the tasks performed are accurately completed
  • Ensure they operate safely in compliance with applicable procedures and instructions
  • Report safety, security and service occurrences, errors, hazards and near-misses utilizing the established reporting procedures 

 

Education & Experience

  • Secondary / High school level education  
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in cargo handling industry
  • Valid UAE Driving License
